Jane Burgess Worsham, 88, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Ila Mae Ogburn Burgess. Jane was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, David Wilson Worsham.

Jane was a graduate of the Roanoke Rapids High School Class of 1945, and also attended Hardbarger Business School. She was a faithful member of Rosemary Baptist Church for many years.

She is survived by her two daughters, Toni W. Floyd and her husband, Joe, of Roanoke Rapids, and Jan W. Gaskins and Mike Shearin of Halifax; five grandchildren, Courtney Floyd and his fiancé, Jennifer, Lindsey F. VanHouten and her husband, Randy, Libby G. Ogburn and her husband, Derek, John Gaskins and Ethan Gaskins; six great-grandchildren, Katie, Kenly, Adalyn Floyd, Logan, Avery, and Olivia VanHouten; one stepgreat-grandson, Carson Ogburn.

There will be a graveside service on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids with Dr. Layne Wallace officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services of Roanoke Rapids, NC.
